The Slater Mill Spinners Guild was there in full force, working their magic. David Westcott patiently gave me a lesson on a drop spindle. He very quickly demonstrated, had me do it and magically worked it into a bracelet tied around my wrist. Don’t ask me how, or to repeat it. It was hypnotic!

Slater Mill – Knitting Weekend People
Prolific authors and designers, Cecily Glowik MacDonald and Melissa LaBarre were on hand Saturday to sign their books New England Knits & Weekend Hats. They had samples of their beautiful work and individual patterns as well. I had not seen The Plucky Knitter yarn in person before this, and it is absolutely phenomenal. Melissa had a beret and scarf made up with it. Instant covet! They are amazingly talented each on their own – and the two in collaboration are unbeatable!
Slater Mill – Knitting Weekend Beaded Cuff
Helen Bingham‘s class was her “Cuff Link” pattern – an introduction to knitting with beads.
