Another hat for Patrick  – this time cabled in Queensland Collection “Kathmandu” Chunky.  Merino, silk & cashmere – what’s not to love?

For Elizabeth – a cowl/cape from Vogue Knitting, Holiday ’09, design #10 by Cathy Carron. I substituted three strands held together, to achieve the gauge. Two strands of Plymouth “Galway” (one in deep purple, one in olive-y green) and a strand of Artful Yarns “Portrait”, a variegated  mohair. The jumbo-sized ribbing and welting play to great effect in this yarn combo. Beyond squishy!
